Within the Divine Mysteries there have always been different methods of practical theurgical approach for attaining direct personal experience of the Divine in levels.

Each level offers direct experience relating to particular states of consciousness within the Divine as a whole, because a human being cannot just approach the totality of the Holy Living One.

In different forms of seership or skrying in mantic trance, where consciousness is fully retained, this is sometimes referred to as ‘Rising on the Planes’ and doing so successfully in each particular level results in sacred encounters with the living theurgical image (eidolon) as the avatar of each level.

In Greek, mantis means ‘seer’ and the term ‘mantic trance’ has been used in many initiatory traditions (referred to as the trance of initiates) to distinguish between trance states where consciousness is fully retained and other types of trance where the aspirant does not remain consciously aware.

As this process differs from our Illuminatory Seership practice where we are obviously awake, it may at first glance appear on the surface to be a contradiction because for most people dream state is usually unconscious.

However, when approach is made through proper use of the Dreamstate Keys, it results in lucid dreaming that allows for conscious interaction because consciousness has been shifted into the aethyric level, the level of the subconscious mind (which is also the lucid dreamstate).

While these exercises are simple (because I have removed the unnecessary complexity) and can be done by anyone with sincere interest, they are not to be easily dismissed. It is because of their relative simplicity that they are of practical, meaningful use.

I’ve created this course for several reasons:

• To remove the barrier for anyone who has not had any direct experience of the Divine the opportunity to do so through a spiritual methodology that safely allows it.
• For aspirants who may have had some direct experience of the Divine, but have not had the training to be able to reliably repeat the experience through a practical method.
• For householders, aspirants who are undertaking more intense levels of psycho-spiritual initiatory work while balancing the demands of life in the modern world, to have an accessible practice to do even when they are unable to do other practices.
• Ultimately, to help heal the state of Divine Discontent (disconnection from the Divine) or manage more difficult periods of time for anyone in any of the above three categories.

So, let the lucid dreaming begin!
